Winjoint tech
Winjoint Tech, sealing system based on cold-applied elastomeric bitumen emulsion and water-dispersed resins, solvent-free.
Used for the quick and easy sealing of joints in bituminous and concrete materials, as well as small cracks in roads and airport runways.
APPLICATION
It can be applied by pouring, optionally helping the application with a metal spatula.
For sealing cracks from 1 to 10 mm, mix the product with 30% by weight of SPECIAL FILLERS until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
Pour the product into the crack and, if necessary, spread it with a metal spatula.
After 24 hours, apply one or two coats of WINJOINT TOP COAT using a roller or brush.
For joints ranging from ≥1 cm up to a maximum of 2 cm, apply a first coat of the product mixed with 30% by weight of SPECIAL FILLERS, then immediately broadcast SC3 quartz to saturation (quartz consumption approx. 30 g/m per 1 cm of width), and proceed with the application of the product until the joint is fully filled.
After 24 hours, apply one or two coats of WINJOINT TOP COAT using a roller or brush.
USEFUL TIPS/SURFACE PREPARATION
Quickly clean the substrate to remove dust or any loose parts.
In case of use for joint treatment, remove any previously applied sealants. Then insert WINJOINT FOAM, a compressible non-stick backer rod, into the joint to create the “third wall.”
Apply the product at temperatures between +10°C and +50°C.
CONSUMPTIONS
- Consumption of the bituminous sealant only: 100–110 g/m for a 1×1 cm bead,
- Consumption of the sealant mixed with 30% by weight of SPECIAL FILLERS: 120–130 g/m for a 1×1 cm bead,
- Top coat consumption: 15–20 g/m for a 1×1 cm bead in one or two coats.
PACKAGES
- WINJOINT TECH – 20 kg bucket,
- WINJOINT TOP COAT – 5 kg buckets.
STORAGE
The product, in its original unopened packaging and stored in a dry, protected place, has a shelf life of 12 months.
Store the product in a sheltered area at temperatures between 10°C and 50°C. Protect from frost.
